Kowdiar Palace
Kowdiar Palace was the home of Sree Chitra Thirunal Balarama Varma and his family. Kowdiar Palace is located at Kowdiarin Thiruvananthapuram District. Kowdiar Palace's architectural work is famed and has over 150 rooms. The access to this famous palace, which has great historical importance, is restricted. From Thiruvananthapuram Centeral railway Station is about 6 km and Trivandrum Internation Airport is around 14 km from the palace.
Thevally Palace
Thevally palace was built during the reign of Gauri Parvathy Bai of Travancore in the early 19th century. This palace overlooks the attractive Ashtamudi Lake and is best viewed from the lake itself. The natural gift is set amidst amidst surroundings covered by hills on the three sides.
Poonjar Palace
Poonjar Palace has beautifully conserved the past which is currently exhibited through the grand chandeliers, Nataraja sculptures and military equipments etc. The main attraction however is the Chituvilakku (rock cut lamps) the only of its type laid out in a row which is regarded as rarest of rare in Kerala.
Bolgatty Palace
Bolgatty Island is an attractive Island near Kochi. The island is a famous tourist haunt, and houses the Bolghatty palace. The palace was built by the Dutch during their control of the Kingdom of Kochi. The main attraction of Bolgatty Island at Kochi is the very old Bolgatty Palace which was built by a Dutch trader in the year 1744. The palace holds the difference of the oldest Dutch palace outside Holland.
Hill Palace Museum
The Hill Palace, the official residence of the Kochi royal family, is today the major archaeological museum in Kerala. Built in 1865, the Palace complex consists of 49 buildings in the traditional architectural method of Kerala, sprawled over 52 acres of beautifully landscaped terraced land which houses an antelope.
